Bergamasca: Pinot wins, Rutkiewicz in the 23rd place.

With the stage win of Giovanni Visconti (Farnese Vini) the 41st edition of Settimana Lombarda by Bergamasca ended. The Champion of Italy in the fourth, last stage, with the finishing line in Bergamo beat Giuseppe De Maria (De Rosa-Ceramica Flaminia) and Simone Stortoni (Colnago-CSF Inox).

The triumpher of Bergamasca is the young Frenchman Thibaut Pinot (FDJ), who won the leader’s jersey on the first day of the competitions and, as it turned out, did not give it out until the end of the race. The second place was taken by Stortoni, and the third one by Davide Rebellin (Miche-Guerciotti).

During the competition in stage 4 Marek Rutkiewicz and Jacek Morajko (CCC Polsat Polkowice) again arrived in the peloton, completing the race respectively in the 27th and 35th place. Jose Mendes finished in the 38th position and Mariusz Witecki was on Saturday the 102nd. Bartłomiej Matysiak arrived at the finishing line in Bergamo in the 125th place.

In the general classification Marek Rutkiewicz found himself close to the leading twenty cyclists, taking the 23rd place. Jacek Morajko completed the race two places lower. Mendes, Witecki and Matysiak took further places.

In the teams classification CCC Polsat Polkowice took the 7th place out of 22 teams starting.
