ragh Andersen (Christina Watches – Kuma) was the winner of the 2nd stage Trail Grodów Piastowskich with the finish line in Polkowice. Bartek Matysiak (CCC Polsat Polkowice) finished in 4th place.

The second stage of the race trail Grodów Piastowskich led from Złotoryja to Polkowice. The riders have to overcome 161 kilometers relatively flat route with a premium mountain on a small uphill in Grodowiec, which they defeated three times. The second part of the route ran through the routes around Polkowice where cyclists overcame three large and three small round each time passing through the finish line located a market square in Polkowice.

Before the first part of the route the peloton rode easlily and react to any attempt to attack, preventing any escape. The situation changed in the rounds around Polkowice. Cyclists began to attack, but none of them has obtained significant advantage. Finally the attack performed by five cyclists composed of Tim Gebauer (Team Stölting), Dariusz Batek (Polish nation team) Jimmi Sorensen (Christina Watches – Kuma), Alvaro Cuadros (Etixx) and Matej Jurco (Dukla Trencin) started an escape which has gained a slight advantage over the peloton.

On a recent small rounds to work joined team CCC Polsat Polkowice and half a minute advantage of escape began to rapidly decline. Even then, it was known that the fight for winning stage will be played from the peloton.

At the Polkowice market square the fastest cyclist turn out to be Christina Watches – Kuma, Andersen Kragh and he was the winner of the 2nd stage of the race. He defeated Eric Latonia ( BDC – MarcPol ) and Phil Bauhaus ( Team Stölting ).

The best of CCC Polsat Polkowice cyclists was Bartek Matysiak, who finished in 4th place.

I saved my efforts today, because I really wanted to fight here in Polkowice. We are in your area – said after finishing Bartek Matysiak. I was hoping it would be a good finish here. For the last 200 meters before the finish I had fought the fight for the best possible position. At the finish here in Polkowice need to enter final straight furthest 3 position , because otherwise you can forget about a good place. Unfortunately, today I was’t able to finish better. Legs after yesterday, severe stage were tired.. Tomorrow I keep my fingers crossed for fellows from the time trail – should be fine – finished Bartek Matysiak.
