On Sunday 18 September the riders of the CCC Polsat Polkowice team are going to take part in two races which will be held in France and Germany. The first of them, in which the ‘orange’ riders will participate – is Duo Normand – two-man team time trial.
‘Duo Normand’ is a race organized by the French Cyclist Federation since 1982 and its exceptionality follows from the fact that it is a two-man team time trial. Cyclists in twos ride a distance of 54 kilometres, which has unvaryingly led along the roads of Normandy since the beginnig of the race’s existence. In 1994 two cyclists: Chris Boardman and Jens Voigt, rode that distance in 1h 04 min. 57 seconds, setting thus a new world record, which has not been broken so far.
The team of CCC Polsat Polkowice entered three pairs in the ‘Duo Normand’ race. There will be: Łukasz Bodnar with Mateusz Taciak, Bartłomiej Matysiak with Błażej Janiaczyk and Paweł Charucki with Tomasz Smoleń.
On the same day (18 September) the other part of the team is going to take part in the 38th edition of the German classic cycle race Volksbank Classic “Rund um Sebnitz”.
