CCC Polsat Polkowice is going for the race to Spain

The team CCC Polsat Polkowice continues started in Argentina 2013 cycling season, this time they are going to the race in Spain.

On Sunday, CCC Polsat Polkowice cyclists’ struggle ended the French stage, Tour Mediterraneen and as soon as this weekend begins another staging race, this time in Spain, in which will start seven cyclists from “orange”.

To Spain, the Vuelta a Andalucia race – Ruta Ciclista del Sol (UCI 2.1 category) sports director, Piotr Wadecki appointed a team composed of Davide Rebellin, Jacek Morajko, Marek Rutkiewicz, Grzegorz Stępniak, Bartlomiej Matysiak, Jarosław Marycz and Adrian Kurek.

This year’s Vuelta a Andalucia race will be held the 59th time and belongs to one of the oldest races organized in Spain. It will be held from 17 to 21 February 2013. Spanish stage race consists of three stages, which leads to a very rough, mountainous terrain.

The race starts in the San Fernando prologue, which will be individual time trial on a flat and relatively short distance of 6 kilometers. The next day the first start at the top and one of the most difficult climbs, Puerto de las Palomas (1220 meters) of mountain premium category first. The second stage race is a little easier, but in the end are located three mountain bonuses (cat.3). The finish line of this stage is located in the uphill. Last, the third “royal” stage of the race, the most difficult part of what tends to cyclists. Cyclists will conquer the sixth mountain bonuses, including two cat.1 and everything indicates that this distance will determine the winner in the race.

How to inform the organizers, the race will start 18 teams, each of them consist 7 cyclists. 126 cyclists will take part in this race. Movistar, Euskatel, Astana, Garmin-Sharp, Lotto-BELISOL, Vacansolei will take part in the race in Spain. At the start of the race will not miss the stars of world cycling, including: Igor Anton, Luis Sanchez, Farrar Tyler, Brajković. CCC Polsat Polkowice cyclists will not the only “white and red” in the Vuelta a Andalucia. Bartosz Huzarski (NetApp-Endura) and Tomasz Marczynski (Vacansoleil-DCM) will take part in this race.

Prolog, 17.02 – San Fernando (6 km) individual time trial

1st Stage, 18.02 – San Fernando – Ubrique (163.9 km)

2nd stage, 19.02 – Trebujena (Cádiz) – Montilla (Córdoba) (190.7 km)

3rd Stage, 20.02 – Lucena (Córdoba) – Rincon de la Victoria (Málaga) (182.7 km)
