On September 2nd (Saturday) 8-man squad of CCC Sprandi Polkowice will take on Belgian one-day event, 97th Brussels Cycling Classic.
The race will be held on the roads surrounding Brussels, with the start in center and finish in northwest part of the city. There are 13 typical Belgian hills, called Les Cotes, sprinkled throughout the 200-kilometer route. They are short but steep gradient will make up for that. Since the last climb is 40 kilometers away from the finish, it’s mostly likely the race will come down to a bunch sprint. At least that was the case in previous editions.
The “orange squad” is heading to Belgium with no clear leader, although Frantisek Sisr should play the role of the main sprinter if a bunch gallop decides the race. The remaining riders in the lineup will make sure that at every point of the competition there is at least one CCC Sprandi Polkowice escapee in the front. Patryk Stosz, Kamil Małecki, Patryk Stosz, Leszek Pluciński, Mateusz Taciak and Piotr Brożyna will try to bowl over the sprinters’ teams and hold on to the finish in the breakaway.
Brussels Cycling Classic will be broadcast live on Eurosport Player platform, from 14:30 (Polish Time).
