The same roster which competed in Tour of the Alps, will line up at the start of Italian one-day race, Giro dell’Appennino (1.1, April 22nd).
This event will be held on hilly, 195-kilometer course, which features 7 categorized climbs – Passo Della Castagnola (68.km, 4,6km dł, max. 17%, avg. 5,4%), Passo dei Giovi (78.,117., 164.km, 2,3km, 8% max, avg 4,4%), Crocetta d’Orero (105.km, 7,2km, 9% max., avg. 4.6%), Passo Della Bocchetta (137.km, 8,2km, 19%, avg. 7,7%), Fraconalto (152.km, 5,5km, max. 17%, avg. 7%).
The final 30km of racing is mostly flat or downhill, but the last 500m is uphill again, at 4,8%.
In such demanding terrain, climbers Amaro Antunes and Michal Schlegel will play the role of the team’s leaders, while Jonas Koch, Frantisek Sisr, Patryk Stosz, Leszek Pluciński and Mateusz Taciak will do everything in their power to bring them to the decisive climbs of the race as fresh as possible.
