The 11th edition of Szlakiem Walk mjr Hubala Race will be the first Polish stage event for the CCC Sprandi Polkowice in 2016 season.
The race returns to the cycling calendar after a 6-year hiatus. It’s held in the Świętokrzyskie and Mazovia Voivodeship, in the region where after the September Campaign, in 1939, the Henryk Dobrzański’s (nickname “Hubal”) forces fought. Three stages and a prologue, which results are not included in the general classification are on the menu. They are all mostly flat and suit sprinters. Despite the lack of climbing, the field still may get shattered on the strong cross winds, so the ability of riding in echelons should be useful.
CCC Sprandi Polkowice is lining up fast lineup, with Eryk Latoń, Bartłomiej Matysiak and Alan Banaszek. The latter will be one of the three U23 riders on the roster, alongside Michał Paluta and Piotr Brożyna.
Also more experienced Jarosław Marycz, Adrian Kurek and Tomasz Kiendyś will compete in the race. For Kiendyś it will be a very pleasure return trip, since he won the general classification of this event as many as 4 times – in 2005, 2007, 2008 and in the last edition, in 2010.
