Few days before the Polish Championship in Sobótka, part of the team will be racing in the one-day Polish events, with the UCI category 1.2 – Korona Kocich Gór (20.06) and Memoriał im. J.Grundmana i J.Wizowskiego (21.06).
Before the Polish Championship we want all of our riders to compete at the racing pace. That’s why we are lining up every Polish rider on our roster – except for Jarosław Marycz who is recovering after a crash at Giro d’Italia – who are not taking part in Tour de Suisse or European Games in Baku – Piotr Wadecki, sporting director of CCC Sprandi Polkowice, said. – Both of the events are UCI races and there are UCI points to gain, so our goal is to win. To achieve that we will have to ride aggressively and watchfully basically right after the start.
Both races will be held on the circuit. The lap of Korona Kocich Gór goes around the Town of Trzebnica and is 24 kilometers long. In total there are 194 kilometers to cover. This year it will be the third edition of this event. In the first one Łukasz Owsian took 2nd, and last year Maciej Paterski was 8th.
Memoriał im. J. Grundmana i J.Wizowskiego will feature a circuit around Głogów and the total distance of 184 kilometers. In 2014 season it was a two-day stage race, and Bartłomiej Matysiak finished 2nd overall.
