The second highest ranked UCI Polish event, Wyścig Szlakiem Walk Majora Hubala (2.1, May 31st – June 3rd) awaits CCC Sprandi Polkowice.
To kick off the event the riders will take on 40-kilometer prologue in Kielce. Its results won’t be included for the general standings, but the rider who collects the most points will wear the yellow jersey on the following day.
After this prologue, the peloton will face three undulating road stages, with some categorized climbs, and one flat time trial. The race against the clock will be held on Saturday, few hours after stage 2 and it will be 21km long. With such a long distance to cover, it should be one of the decisive tests for GC contenders.
CCC Sprandi Polkowice aims to win the overall, so the management has named a powerful lineup, filled with good time trialists, current or former medalists from TT Polish Championships: Kamil Gradek, Mateusz Taciak, Paweł Bernas, Szymon Sajnok, Piotr Brożyna and Michał Paluta. With so many TT specialists, the orange squad will have few cards to play. Paweł Franczak will be the man for the sprint and to fight for stage victories.
