For the third consecutive year, CCC Sprandi Polkowice will participate in the UCI World Tour event, Amstel Gold Race. The organizers have announced the remaining 4 wild cards invitations.
The “orange squad” is returning to the “beer race” after solid last year’s performance. Maciej Paterski finished the Dutch one-day event among the favorites and claimed 9th place. The 2004 winner, Davide Rebellin made the top 30, as he took 29th. 10 years later, in the first participation of the “orange squad” in Amstel, Italian was 13th.
Few weeks ago the organizers have announced three invitations for Roompot – Oranje Peloton, Topsport Vlaanderen – Baloise and Team Wanty – Groupe Gobert, leaving the door open for few more. On Thursday it was revealed, that CCC Sprandi Polkowice will join the “wild card” recipients, alongside Team Direct Energie, Bardiani- CSF and Nippo Vini – Fantini. All of 18 UCI World Tour team will also be at the start line on 17th of April.
