Grega Bole and Davide Rebellin will lead the CCC Sprandi Polkowice team in the Italian stage race Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali (2.1)
The race will start by the Adriatic Sea, with two stages – typical road race and unusual, 4-man team time trial (each team will have two squads racing separately). In the following days the peloton will be heading inland. The last stage will kick off and end in Pavullo nel Frignano, in the Emilia-Romania region. The course is mostly hilly, except from stage 3, which is completely flat. Stage 2 seems to be the hardest, since on similar route, last year big gaps were created.
Bole and Rebellin should perform well in such, undulating terrain and fast Christian Delle Stelle and Bartłomiej Matysiak will be valuable on the flat parts. Adrian Kurek, Tomasz Kiendyś, Jarosław Marycz are the current Polish Champions in team time trial, and Nikolay Mihaylow won few national titles in ITT, so the team time trial should fit their skills – Piotr Wadecki, DS of CCC Sprandi Polkowice explains.
The “orange squad” is coming back to Coppi e Bartali after one year break. In 2013 Bartłomiej Matysiak and Davide Rebellin both finished in top 10 on few stages.
Lineup for Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali: Grega Bole, Adrian Kurek, Tomasz Kiendyś, Jarosław Marycz, Christian Delle Stelle, Bartłomiej Matysiak, Davide Rebellin, Nikolay Mihaylov.
