Short, 5-man lineup of CCC Sprandi Polkowice will compete in another Belgian one-day race, Driedaagse De Panne-Koksijde (March 21st, 1.HC).
The “orange squad” will be reduced for this event due to the fact, that the team will take part in three parallel races – in ongoing Le Tour de Langkawi and in Coppi e Bartali which will kick off on March 22nd.
Frantisek Sisr, winner of Ronde van Drenthe, will lead the team, alongside fast Paweł Franczak. Paweł Bernas, Kamil Małecki and Leszek Pluciński, who are expected to ride aggressively in the breaks and work for their leaders, will round out the roster.
This year’s edition of Driedaagse De Panne-Koksijde is unique, since for the first time it will be a one-day event. In the past it usually consisted of 4 stages.
202, typical Belgian kilometers await the riders, with cobbles and bergs spread across the course. The biggest difficulties will be located halfway through the route, when the peloton will take on series of climbs – Monteberg, Kemmelberg, Rodeberg, Vidaigneberg, Sulferberg. Two 25-kilometer laps will wrap the race, while the finishing straight will rise gently uphill.
Race will be broadcast live on Eurosport 2 from 14:30.
