CCC Sprandi Polkowice is heading to Italy to take on upcoming two one-day races, Coppa Agostoni – Giro delle Brianze (15.09, 1.1) and Coppa Bernocchi (16.09, 1.1).
Both of those events are nearly 200km long and held on undulating, interval course with flat finale. The route of Coppa Agostoni goes around the city of Lissone, in Lombardy. After 65km of racing the peloton will enter 25-kilometer lap, that includes three hills. It will be covered four times. After leaving the circuit there is still 25km to go, where shattered bunch may come back together.
Coppa Bernocchi has similar configuration, with six 16,7-kilometer laps in the middle and three 5,8km finishing circuits. The start and finish venue will be located in Legnano.
These events suit fast riders, who cope with shorter climbs. Depending on the pace, also typical sprinters may hold on with the main group and still contest the sprint. Thus, Jonas Koch and Alan Banaszek will have the opportunity to showcase their power. Top climbers on the team, Paweł Cieślik and Amaro Antunes, who is returning to competition after his calf injury, will try to shake things up uphill.
Patryk Stosz, Kamil Małecki and Piotr Brożyna, who is also coming back to racing after his health issues, will protect their leaders and help them in the decisive parts of the race.
