Adrian Kurek was part of the day’s main breakaway in stage 4 of Colombia Oro y Paz, won by new GC leader of the race, Juliana Alaphilippe.

The first out three stages, with mountain top finish got off to a fast start, with big group of riders attacking early on. Adrian Kurek was part of that breakaway, which in total consisted of 20 men. The leading group with Polish champion gained nearly 3 minutes on the peloton.
The escape was caught before the decisive part of the stage and the uphill finish saw the decisive battle among top favorites. Julian Alaphilippe (Quick Step Floors) had the most explosive legs in the shattered field and took the win, 4th in a row for his team. Sergio Henao (Team Sky) took 2nd and Nairo Quintana (Movistar) 3rd.
Michał Paluta was the top finisher of CCC Sprandi Polkowice, coming in 57th place (1:39 back).
