In another stage of Le Tour de Langkawi, which suited sprinters, Szymon Sajnok finish in 8th place.
Info: Stage 6, March 23rd, Tapah – Tanjung Malim , 108,5km
It was a short and flat stage, so the pace was extremely high right from the gun. Nobody was able to break clear for nearly 35 kilometers, until Turakit Boonratanathanakorn (Thailand Continental Cycling Team) pulled away. He had to dig deep to create some space, as he covered 48 kilometers in the first hour of racing, gaining 3 minutes on the bunch.
By himself his chances of holding on were very slim and he got reeled in inside final 10 kilometers. As expected it was all decided in a bunch sprint. Luca Pacioni (Wilier Triestina – Selle Italia) powered to victory outsprinting Riccardo Minali (Astana) and Mohd Harrif Salleh (Terengganu Cycling Team).
This time world champion in omnium, Szymon Sajnok was the CCC Sprandi Polkowice man for the finish and he sprinted to solid 8th place.
