Cyclists of CCC put foward for the 67th Tour de Pologne.

Piotr Wadecki, the selector of the national road cycling team informed about the broad line-up of the Representative Team of Poland for the 67th Tour de Pologne UCI ProTour. The selector is interested in 14 competitors.

Their chance of appearing in the national colours during the TdP have the following racers: Marek Rutkiewicz, who will surely take part and will be the leader of the representation), the Poland champion Jacek Morajko and the vice champion of Poland Mariusz Witecki, as well as Mateusz Taciak and Błażej Janiaczyk (all of them from Mróz ActiveJet).

Other competitors are cyclists of CCC Polsat Polkowice: Tomasz Marczyński, Tomasz Kiendyś, Łukasz Bodnar, Dariusz Batek and Bartłomiej Matysiak.

There are also: Adam Wadecki (AKTIO Group Mostostal Puławy), Michał Kwiatkowski (Caja Rural) – who is waiting for the permission of the club to take part in the TdP, Dariusz Baranowski (Romet-Weltour Dębica) and Wojciech Ziółkowski (DHL-Author).

In this group there are not present the previously announced Bartosz Huzarski (ISD-Neri) and Przemysław Niemiec (Miche), who were not granted the permission from their teams to participate in the Tour de Pologne. Huzarski was called for the races in Italy because many cyclists of the team are ill, and Niemiec will appear in his team’s colours during the race in Portugal.

– There’s no denying that I am preparing the composition of the team to go with one leader, Marek Rutkiewicz – told the selector of the national team Piotr Wadecki. – This year Marek is going for the victory in the Tour de Pologne and the rest of the team is doing everything to support him in it. Marek proves that he deserves the title of the leader of the representation at this race. Every member of the team who will take part in the Tour will have to submit to it. There is one leader and we are matching up to him – concluded Wadecki.
