The winner of the Italian classic Coppa Ugo Agostoni (Cat. UCI1.1) was the cyclist from Lampre team, Filippo Pozzato. The fourth was Davide Rebellin (CCC Polsat Polkowice).
Today (Wednesday, 21.08), in Italy, took place the classic race Coppa Ugo Agostoni, the first of three races comprising the classic Trilogy Region Lombardy. It was the 67th edition of the race, which is dedicated to Ugo Agostoniemu, an outstanding rider coming from Lissone, a town where the year is organized race.
The first of the classics, the riders had to overcome the distance of 198.7 kilometers, which led to the hilly terrain near Lissone with four fairly stiff climbs. The last 50 kilometers route the riders were faced with an uphill under Ella, Colle Brianza, Gagliano and Lissolo where mountain located bonuses. According to the organizers of the Coppa Ugo Agostoni, is the toughest of the three classics of the cycle.
