First medal for CCC in 2015 claimed by Michal Paluta

Michal Paluta claimed first medal for the Polkowice-based team in 2015. He took 2nd place in the Polish Championship in cyclo-cross U23, which were held in Bytow.

I haven’t prepared for the CX season, because my priority is the road. I decided to go full gas on the first lap and see what my opponents are capable of. In the second part of the race I lost my energy and Bartosz Mikler overtook me. I don’t remember feeling so “empty” in any other race I’ve taken part in but I managed to maintain the 2nd place – said Michal Paluta.

Few days ago I was going through some illness with fever and that didn’t help obviously. Also to course was not tailored to me, since there was a lot of mud and I prefer fast races.

No it’s time to concentrate on the road season. The races that I’m getting ready for are the Nations Cup races, especially the Ronde van Vlaanderen U23.

Very close from getting on podium was Kamil Malecki, who’s from Bytow and grew up as a cyclist at MLKS Baszta Bytow. The third CCC Sprandi Polkowice rider who participated in the race was Patryk Stosz, but due to mechanicals he was not able to complete the race.
