On Easter Monday 25 April, in Cologne, the Rund um Köln race was held on a 204-kilometre long route.
The winner was the cyclist of the Rabobank team, Michael Matthews, who beat the German Marcel Kittel from Skil-Shimano and the Italian Giacomo Nizzolo from Leopard-Trek, in a sprinters’ duel.
A team of CCC Polsat Polkowice took part in the race with the following composition: Andre Schulze, Sylwester Janiszewski, Paweł Charucki, Błażej Janiaczyk, Tomasz Kiendyś, Mateusz Taciak and Tomasz Smoleń.
Sylwester Janiszewski rode the best of the CCC cyclists, completing the race in the 17th place.
In the 24th place another cyclist of the ‘orange’ team arrived at the finishing line: Błażej Janiaczyk. Tomasz Kiendyś took the 52nd place and Paweł Charucki completed the race in the 93rd place 22 seconds adrift of the winner.
The other three cyclists of CCC – Andre Schulze, Mateusz Taciak, Tomasz Smoleń – did not complete the race.
