CCC Sprandi Polkowice is happy to announce the signing of Kamil Gradek, who will join CCC Sprandi Polkowice for the next season.
Kamil comes from the same generation as Paweł Bernas and Paweł Franczek, who will also be part of our squad in 2018. They all are 26-27 years old, they all often raced for the same teams, they know each other very well, so they should quickly adapt to new environment – Piotr Wadecki, DS of CCC Sprandi Polkowice, explains. – Kamil is a great time trialist and can set strong, steady pace at the head of the bunch. He will be an extremely important rider for those events, in which we will have to take over control of the race and where we will need a strong lead out train for our sprinter.
27-year old Gradek is a former U23 Polish champion in time trial and silver medalist in that discipline in elite category. In his palmares he has also stage victory in Race of Solidarity and the Olympians, win in Memorial Andrzeja Trochanowskiego, as well as on the stage and in GC in Tour of China I.
In 2017 Gradek improved his winning record, taking general classification in Dutch stage race, Ronde van Midden Nederland.
CCC Sprandi Polkowice is a quality team, which offers their riders rich race program and professional structure. I hope next season will be very successful and I will continue to develop. I want to thank the management of CCC Sprandi Polkowice and Mr. Dariusz Miłek for putting trust in me. I also want to thank my previous team for great time and good year with them – Kamil Gradek said.
It was important for me, that Polkowice-based squad has ProContinental status and we will have the opportunity to race against the best riders in the world.
I would like to focus on developing my time trial skills. I know that the team has been putting a lot of effort into improvement in that area and I hope I will be able to fully show my potential. We have ambitious goals and I will work hard to achieve them.
