Łukasz Bodnar – the winner of the BDC Korona Miast cycle

Cyclists of Mróz win the criteriums in Leszno and Borek Wlkp. Łukasz Bodnar is the triumpher of BDC Korona Miast.

The victory of cyclists of Mróz Active ended two road cycling criteriums that completed the competition within the BDC Korona Miast cycle and the elite road cycling season in Poland. In the Saturday All-Poland Road Cycling Criterium for the President of Leszno Cup the winner was Mateusz Taciak, a day later during the All-Poland Road Cycling Criterium for the President of Borek Wielkopolski the best cyclist was Marek Rutkiewicz. The BDC Korona Miast general classification was won by Łukasz Bodnar from the group of CCC Polsat Polkowice.

The beginning of the Saturday criterium in Leszno was dominated by the cyclists of CCC Polsat Polkowice, the first lap scoring points was won by Bartłomiej Matysiak, in the next a full set of points was won by Tomasz Marczyński. In numerous attempts at break-aways representatives of all the participating teams took part. After ten laps Mateusz Taciak took advantage of a moment of hesitation in the peloton, attacking on his own. The cyclist of Mróz Active Jet rode alone the whole remaining part of the route, maintaining his advantage over the four cyclists chasing him: his team-mates Marek Rutkiewicz and Błażej Janiaczyk, as well as Tomasz Marczyński (CCC Polsat Polkowice) and Konrad Tomasiak (TC Chrobry Głogów). The time trial skills allowed Mateusz Taciak to reach the finishing line and achieve the first victory in the present season. The further places on the podium were taken by cyclists from Polkowice: the second was Tomasz Marczyński and third – Bartłomiej Matysiak.

The criterium in Borek Wielkopolski – the home place of Mróz Active Jet, which stood at the starting line in an almost complete set – took a similar course. After numerous attempts to attack, a group of 4 cyclists formed on the first laps, gaining a distinct advantage over the peloton, and they were settling the finishes among themselves. In front of their own public the cyclists of the Mróz Active Jet group presented themselves really well, gathering the most points as a team, and taking the first two places. The winner was Marek Rutkiewicz before Mateusz Taciak. The third place was taken by Mateusz Mróz (DHL Author) and right behind the podium Bartłomiej Matysiak (CCC Polsat Polkowice) found himself. Among the cyclists beyond the break-away group the best was the U23 cyclist Konrad Tomasiak (TC Chrobry Głogów),

In the general classification of the BDC Korona Miast cycle the winner is Łukasz Bodnar. The cyclist of the CCC Polsat Polkowice group won the first three races within the cycle and he received the main price – a Jamis bike. The second place was taken by Mateusz Taciak (Mróz Active Jet) and Mateusz Mróz from DHL Author was third. The best U23 cyclist was Marcin Mrożek (TC Chrobry Głogów).
