Małopolski Wyścig Górski resumes competitions in the cycling BGŻ ProLiga.

With Małopolski Wyścig Górski, held from 16 to 18 June, the competitions in the cycle of BGŻ ProLiga 2011 have been resumed. For Polish teams it is going to be the last test before the most important event of the season, that is the Championships of Poland in road cycling.

The results of the championships, both in time trial and massed start, will also be reflected in the classification of the cycle.

The break between the races of BGŻ ProLiga not for all Polish groups meant a break in races. Having among them the leader of BGŻ ProLiga the team of CCC Polsat started in the race in the Czech Lidice, where they presented their excellent form. The ‘orange’ cyclists won as many as four out of five stages, and the final classification was won by Tomasz Marczyński. The prologue initiating the competitions was won by the leader of BGŻ ProLiga Łukasz Bodnar, who was the leader of the race for the next two stages.

In the strong, international set of starters during Tour de Slovakie the group of Bank BGŻ raced. The tenth place was won in the final classification by Paweł Cieślik, who won one of the stages. The young cyclists, who does well in mountains, announces a fight for high places during Małopolski Wyścig Górski. A successful race is behind the teams that have among them U-23 cyclists. Most of Polish teams raced during the international Carpathians Couriers Paths race. The team of GK Kellys Cartusia Kartuzy showed its very good side – its three cyclists won the leading places in the general classification. The winner, Paweł Bernas, has already won some points in this year’s cycle of BGŻ ProLiga.
During the criteriums preceeding Małopolski Wyścig Górski a good form was shown by Robert Radosz from the group of BDC, who won the Cycling Criterium of Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski in Tarnów, and the next day the criterium for the Golden Ring of Kraków, winning the jersey of the leader before the first stage of Małopolski Wyścig Górski.

Małopolski Wyścig Górski will be held from 16 to 18 June 2011 and it will consist of three stages.

The winner of the whole race will be known in Wysowa on Saturday. The video report of the race will be broadcast on Monday 20 June at 5.15 p.m. on TVP Sport.
