Marek Rutkiewicz (CCC Polsat Polkowice) is holding a very high, fourth place in the ranking of the best riders of UCI Europa Tour.
On 25 May this year the International Cycling Union announced another ranking for the best riders of the UCI Europa Tour cycle. In the first place, with 286 points there is the rider of the Endura Racing team, Jonathan Tiernan-Locke. John Degenkolb (Argos Shimano) advanced to the second place, and the third place is held by Sergey Firsanov from the team of RusVelo.
Marek Rutkiewicz (CCC Polsat Polkowice), whose form has been excellent since the beginning of the season, has collected 225 points and he moved from the 83rd place to the fourth position. It is thanks to, among others, winning the race Szlakiem Grodów Piastowskich, of the UCI 2.1 category that Marek Rutkiewicz won most of the points, which allowed him to take such a high position. It must be said, that since the beginning of the season Marek Rutkiewicz has achieved 5 victories in UCI races.
The best team in the UCI ranking is still the French Saur-Sojasun, that have gathered so far 891 points.
Among Polish teams the highest place in the UCI ranking is held by the team of CCC Polsat Polkowice. It has won 313 points, which gives it the 22nd place. It must be stressed, that the team of CCC Polsat Polkowice advanced from the 46th place.
In the 43rd place, with 135 points there is BGŻ Team. The team of Wibatech Ziemia Brzeska has scored 33 points, which gives it only the 82nd place in the ranking. The last one among Polish teams is BDC MarcPol, which has only 23 points, which places it in the remote 91st place.
