Morajko and the CCC team still leading the Pro-League.

The Champion of Poland in the massed-start race Jacek Morajko maintained his leading in the general classification of the Pro-League Arkus & Romet cycle after the Pomerania Tour classic cycle race that ended on Sunday. There haven’t been any bigger changes in the lead, the second place was maintained by Marek Rutkiewicz (Mróz Active Jet) and the third place is still held by Bartosz Huzarski (ISD).

In the Pomerania Tour race the main roles have been played by cyclists from abroad, who occupied all the podium. The best of the Polish cyclists Błażej Janiaczyk (Mróz Active Jet) took the fourth place and in the Pro-League classification he advanced to the tenth position.

The name of Artur Detko (Aktio Group Mostostal Puławy) appeared in the classification, as he won his first points. Tomasz Kiendyś and Krzysztof Jeżowski (CCC Polsat Polkowice) as well as Adam Wadecki (Aktio Group Mostostal Puławy) improved their positions slightly.

Jacek Morajko remained the unquestionable leader of Pro-League, outstripping his team-mate from the Mróz Active Jet Marek Rutkiewicz by 111 points. The third place is held by Bartosz Huzarski, who is 8 points behind the second place. In the teams classification the CCC Polsat Polkowice group is one point better than Mróz Active Jet. The third place, quite far behind, is held by Aktio Group Mostostal Puławy.

As many as seven cyclists from the leading ten in the Pro-League Arkus & Romet classification will take part in the Tour de Pologne that starts on 1 August. In the national team there will be: Jacek Morajko (1.), Marek Rutkiewicz (2.), Tomasz Marczyński (6.), Mateusz Taciak (8.) and Błażej Janiaczyk (10.). Additionally two cyclists will appear in their own groups: Maciej Bodnar (4.) will represent the Liquigas group and Jarosław Marycz (7.) the team of Saxo Bank.

Another competition belonging to the Pro-League Arkus & Romet cycle will be the ‘Dookoła Mazowsza’ race that begins on Tuesday.
