MWG: Bartłomiej Matysiak won the Golden Ring of Cracow

The cyclist of CCC Polsat Polkowice, Bartłomiej Matysiak was the winner of the Golden Ring of Cracow and became the first leader of the Malopolska Mountain Race.

Before the race on routes Malopolska Mountain Race, riders gathered in the main square in Krakow, where he played the prologue race. Traditionally, for many years, the prologue race is played in the street criterion formula where the reward is Golden Ring city. The results are not included in the classification of racing, but all MWG participants were required to stand on its launch. In addition, the order of the finish line, determined the distribution of the individual classification of race t-shirts.
Route test conducted on the cobblestone roads around the main square of Krakow which riders defeated 42 times at an aggregate distance of 30 km. In accordance with the principles of the scoring in the races organized in the formula criterion riders on each lap scored sum of which gave the final victory.
Bartlomiej Matysiak (CCC Polsat Polkowice) coped best with a very technically difficult route criterion and scoring the most points is the winner of the criterion of the Golden Ring city. It should be noted that Bart Matysiak repeated his success with 2012 where he also was the best. Winning the criterion was also the first leader of the Malopolska Mountain Race and for tomorrow’s stage will start in the general classification leader’s jersey.
It was not easy to repeat the success of last year – said after completing the test Bartek Matysiak. I really wanted to win this test again, even though the prosecution on the route around the main square is extremely difficult. Paved surface, sharp corners and very high speed, it’s all forced to very vigilant and careful driving, because of misfortune, especially for this tour is not difficult. Really helped me to teammates who successfully eradicated the trial departure and I focused only on individual laps finiszach to “catch” as many points. We fought quite a difficult fight for points with riders teams in Germany, but failed to beat them at once for all, I thank my colleagues from the team – finished Bartek Matysiak.
