The winner of the 2nd International Cycling Race for the Cup of the President of Olsztyn was a rider of CCC Polsat Polkowice, Nikolay Mihaylov.
During a cycling race held in Olsztynie the riders had a distance of 130 kilometres to cover, and the course led in circuits along the roads of the town. There were 10 laps to ride, 13 kilometres each. At the starting line there were over 70 riders, including riders of CCC Polsat Polkowice, BDC MarcPol and BGŻ Team.
A dozen or so kilometres after the start six riders decided to attack out of the peloton. Three riders of CCC Polsat Polkowice, two from BDC MarcPol and one from Team BGŻ.
At the final part an unusual event took place. Nikolay Michaylov and Błażej Janiaczyk (Team BGŻ) rode out of the six-rider group. Błażej may consider himself unlucky, since his chain fell several hundreds kilometres gefore the finishing line and he eventually arrived at the finishing line in the second place. After a lonely finish Nikolay Mihaylov won the race, and Tomasz Kiendyś (CCC Polsat Polkowice) was the third. Right after the podium Piotr Kirpsza (BDC MarcPol) found his place.
The quickest in the peloton was also a CCC Polsat Polkowice rider – Grzegorz Stępniak.
The best U-23 rider was Piotr Skarżyński (BDC MarcPol), who was in a break-away and he arrived in the fifth position.
