Belgian one-day events are usually associated with the spring, but also in the autumn there are some opportunities for the riders who specialize in those races. CCC Sprandi Polkowice will take part in one of them – Primus Classic Impanis – Van Petegem.
The 195-kilometer course from Brakel do Haagt, in Flemish Brabant, is typical for the Belgian cycling race – up-and-down profile and narrow and twisty roads. Riders from Benelux countries will make sure, that the pace is fast and will try to break the field apart. Sprinters’ teams will try to do the opposite and bring the race to a bunch sprint.
This year’s edition is the fifth one, since the event received UCI EuropeTour status. In the previous four races, only one time it came down to a mass finish and three times a small group arrived at the finish.
CCC Sprandi Polkowice’s lineup is fast. The team’s leader is sprinter, Grzegorz Stępniak. He proved in Velothon Stockholm, where he took third place, that he is in good shape. He will be supported by strong in flat and slightly hilly terrain, Mateusz Taciak, Adrian Kurek, Jarosław Marycz, Bartłomiej Matysiak, Tomasz Kiendyś and two riders from U23 category, Patryk Stosz and Eryk Latoń.
Primus Classic Impanis – Van Petegem is a 1.HC and 7 UCI World Tour teams are expected at the start line.
