Coming off victory at “Hubal”

After winning Szlakiem Walk Majora Hubala, Maciej Paterski will try to take advantage of his great form after Giro d’Italia again, taking part in Tour of Małopolska. He is still performing extremely well and will go for second consecutive victory in Polish stage event. Łukasz Owsian, who also raced in Italian Grand Tour and “Hubal” can’t be ruled out either, neither as Michal Schlegel, another Giro participant. They will be joined by Polish youngsters – Patryk Stosz, Kamil Małecki and fast Alan Banaszek, who is targeting criterium and stage 1. Criterium consists of 1st round followed by final round in the form of 12-man elimination race. It doesn’t count towards the general classification though.

First two days should suit sprinters, while the last two climbers and puncheurs. Stage two is quite undulating and features five categorized climbs. From the top of the last one it’s still 40km to the finish, so anything can happen. Final stage to Nowy Targ should be decisive in terms of GC. It’s short but very intense, with 6 climbs on the menu.
