CCC Sprandi Polkowice will have several cards to play in the upcoming Rund Um Koln (June 10th, 1.1), as the lineup includes some of the fastest riders on the team.
Jonas Koch, who will be racing on his home turf, will lead the squad. He can sprint well and specializes in undulating races, such as this one. Szymon Sajnok and Paweł Franczak are the men for the mass finish, while Frantisek Sisr and Michał Paluta are at their best when a shattered bunch is coming into the finish line.
After claiming overall podium spots in Wyścig Szlakiem Walk Majora Hubala (2.2), this time Mateusz Taciak and Kamil Gradek will do the “dirty work” pulling in the front and chasing breakaways. They’ve proven to be on-form in the past few weeks, so they will be extremely valuable to the squad.
Rund um Koln is 207km long and runs on undulating, twisty and sometimes cobbled roads. First 180km are all up-and-down and it flattens out in the finale, where three, 7km laps in Koln await.
