Orange squad to Skoda-Tour de Luxembourg

Strong lineup of CCC Sprandi Polkowice, led by Jan Tratnik will take on 5-day Skoda-Tour de Luxembourg (2.HC, 30th May – 3rd June).

This event consists of short and technical prologue and 4 traditional stages. The opening TT is only 2,3km long, so the gaps won’t be decisive on that day. The remaining stages are highly undulating, with countless punchy climbs, typical for this region. Stage 2 and 4 finish with an uphill finish, so in theory this is where there are the most seconds up for grabs, but other stages are very demanding as well and we should see a lot of action up the road.

The orange squad will take part in this race with its leader, Jan Tratnik. He should gain some time in the time trial and his chances in hilly terrain, on twisty roads, are also quite good. He confirmed that in Volta Limburg, held nearby, in which he grabbed the win.

Slovenian is not the only rider capable of fighting for the overall, since Łukasz Owsian has been performing very well lately, winning CCC Tour – Grody Piastowskie. Paweł Cieślik, who didn’t train for three months after his heart surgery conducted early in the year, didn’t show any signs of that in his comeback race, taking third in GC of Bałyk – Karkonosze Tour. Amaro Antunes, who is at his best in the long climbs, won’t be able to showcase his full climbing potential, but can still make his presence known in the race by aggressive attacks uphill.

Fast Jonas Koch also made the lineup, so the squad will have a card to play in case of a bunch sprint. He will be led out in the finale by Adrian Kurek and Patryk Stosz (who replaced Marko Kump who got sick).
