„Orange squad” to Volta Limburg Classic

CCC Sprandi Polkowice hope that the Great Saturday will be great for their squad, as they will compete in Dutch one-day event, Volta Limburg (March 31st, 1.1).

The race is 195 kilometers long and features very undulating course. There are as many as 38 short (between 0,4 to 2,5km) and steep (up to 16%) climbs on the menu, so there will be plenty of opportunities to break the field apart. The final 15km of racing are quite flat, with a slightly uphill finish in Eijsden, where also start will be located.

On a similar route last year, Coppi e Bartali time trial winner, Jan Tratnik put on an aggressive performance, going solo late in the race. He eventually got caught, but still managed to finish in 12th place.

Such hilly terrain should also suit Jonas Koch and Paweł Bernas, while Michał Paluta, Patryk Stosz and Adrian Kurek will do their best to make the orange colors visible in the breakaway. In case of a sprint from a bigger group, Marko Kump will be there to contest it.

The race will be broadcast by from 14:45.

Start: 12:00

Scheduled finish: 16:55
