Pro-League: Jacek Morajko and CCC in the lead

Thanks to his third place at the finishing line of the classic cycle race ‘Puchar Uzdrowisk Karpackich’ the champion of Poland Jacek Morajko remained the leader of the Pro-League Arkus & Romet. Marek Rutkiewicz is reducing the gap between him and his team-mate. The winner of the ‘Puchar Uzdrowisk Karpackich’ race is 71 points behind and, apart from the leader, he is the only racer to still have a chance for a success in the Pro-League. The third place is held by Tomasz Marczyński (CCC Polsat Polkowice).

At the finishing line of the classic cycle race – Puchar Uzdrowisk Karpackich – the main part was played by the cyclists from the lead of the Pro-League. In the deciding break-away of 3 cyclists there were: the leading in Pro-League Jacek Morajko and Marek Rutkiewicz (both from Mróz Active Jet) and, in the seventh place, Tomasz Marczyński (CCC Polsat Polkowice).

In the end it was Marek Rutkiewicz who won, and he strengthened his position of the vice-leader of Pro-League. Jacek Morajko, third in the finishing line, remained the leader of the cycle, very close to the final triumph. The second place was taken by Tomasz Marczyński, who advanced to the third place in the Pro-League classification.

The teams classification of ‘Puchar Uzdrowisk Karpackich’ – created for the use in Pro-League – where the lowest number of places obtained by three cyclists from one team in the individual classification determines the order, was won by the group of CCC Polsat Polkowice. Piotr Wadecki’s team increased their advantage over the second team – Mróz Active Jet – to five points. The third place is occupied by the DHL Author group.

There are two races left to the end of the Pro-League competition: the classic cycle race for the Ministry of Defence Cup and the race ‘Szlakiem walk majora Hubala’.
