Quinghai Lake: Taciak on the podium of stage 5.

The cyclist of Colnago – CSF Inox, Sacha Modolo, became the winner of stage 5 of Tour of Quinghai Lake. At the finishing line in Molo he defeated Mateusz Taciak (CCC Polsat Polkowice).

During stage 5 of the race leading from Xihaizhen to Mole – and its length was 123 kilometres – the cyclists had to ride two very difficult uphill stretches in which there were climbs situated. The first uphill stretch with a climb was right after the cyclists’ start, at the 25th kilometre of the route, while at the 107th kilometre they had to reach a climb situated at almost 4000 metres above sea level. Such a difficult route made the peloton divide quite significantly and, although after the second climb the peloton had 20 kilometres of a downhill stretch, the cyclists reached the finishing line in little groups anyway.
In the first group about 16 cyclists came to the finishing line, in it five CCC Polsat Polkowice cyclists: Marek Rutkiewicz, Jacek Morajko, Mateusz Taciak, Mariusz Witecki and Jose Mendes.

The quickest to finish out of this group was the cyclist of the Colnago-CSF Inox team, Sacha Modolo and right behind him Mateusz Taciak crossed the finishing line.

In the general classification Gazvoda is leading, and Mateusz Taciak is still holding the third place.
