Rebellin third in Vuelta a Murcia

Alejandro Valverde (Movistar) was the winner of the Vuelta Ciclista a Murcia (Cat. 1.1). Davide Rebellin (CCC Polsat Polkowice) won a third place on the podium.

Vuelta Ciclista a Murcia the 34th edition has began in Beniol and after driving 190.8 km riders finish at the finish line in Lorca. The route of this year’s race belonged to extremely difficult . The riders had to overcome three difficult climbs : Alto Cabezo del la Plata, Alto de Espuña and Alto de Collado Bermejo and the final climb to the finish Alto Castillo de Lorca.

Before driveway Alto de Espuña attacked Thomas Marczyński ( CCC Polsat Polkowice ) and the first to beat the driveway which gave him points in the classification of the mountain , which was the winner . Driveway under Collada Alto Bermejo attacked Alejando Valverde ( Movistar ) and Jerome Coppel ( Cofidis ) . Behind them walked a 30- strong group of riders , which led the ” Orange ” . The team CCC Polsat Polkowice took control of the peloton and it is thanks to her work failed to eliminate fugitive for the past two and put the final kilometers Davide Rebellin on the best position to finish.

As a team we took a really nice race – said the winner of the mountains classification , Thomas Marczyński . The whole race ahead of the pack was orange which means that we controlled its course . Escape Marek Rutkiewicz , my victory in the mountain classification and Davide Rebellin third place at the finish can enjoy. This is the result of days worked well during grouping and great motivation to be getting better service.
