20 teams will take part in the upcoming Sibiu Cycling Tour (17-20 of July). Among them there will be CCC Polsat Polkowice which is one of the two Professional Continental teams in the race.
The race which is held in Romania, consists of prologue, 3 road stages and 1 individual time trial. It kicks off in the town of Sibiu which has been hosting the first day of the tour since the very beginning in 2011. The prologue is very short – 2,2 kilometers – and goes through narrow, cobblestone roads.
In the next days the peleton will be doing some climbing. Two stages end with the uphill finish – Balea Lac (2040 m) and Paltanis (1438 m). The final day will start with 16-kilometer time trial and in the evening the best sprinters will have chance to show off their skills in the relatively flat, 150-kilometer stage in Sibiu. In total the peleton will cover 530 kilometers in 4 days.
