Robert Krajewski about ‘Catalonia’: ‘It will be hard’

Before the start of the CCC Polsat Polkowice team in the race of Volta a Catalunya, Robert Krajewski (the sports manager of the team) gave a short interview to the cycling portal

After a long time of preparations, it is time for one of the most prestigious races for you in that season ….

We are glad to have received an invitation for such a prestigious and important race as ’Volta a Catalunya’. In that race mainly all the best teams of the world are going to take part, and (only) six continental teams. The race in Spain will not be the most important in the season for us, though, but another race to prepare the team for the most important event of the year, that is ‘Tour de Pologne’. That race will show in what form our cyclists are.

Who will be the leader of our team?

We are counting on Jose Mendes and I think, that he will show himself in the most difficult stages of that race.

What would you like to achieve during that race?

The route definitely favours climbers. For sure we would like to show ourselves the best way possible, but in this stage of preparations it will be very hard to win in such a difficult race.

What will your further starts be?

Another race of our team is the one in Sobótka – the initiation of the cycling season in Poland, then the stage race in Holland: Ronde van Drenthe 15-16 April, “Giro del Trentino”19-22 April, and the classic cycle race in Belgium – GP Herning” 23 April. In Poland we will turn up on 1 May during the Memorial of Trochanowski

I wish you successes and I am keeping my fingers crossed for the team.
