On Sunday 10 June Ronde de L’Oise, a stage race in France ended. A short evaluation of the race was made by the sporting director of the team, Robert Krajewski.
The stage race Ronde de L’Oise was held from 7 to 10 June in the hilly area of the Picardy region in the north of France. In the race the CCC Polsat Polkowice team consisted of six riders: Piotr Gawroński, Tomasz Kiendyś, Bartłomiej Matysiak, Grzegorz Stępniak, Mateusz Taciak and Kamil Zieliński.
The whole race went not as we wanted it to – said after the race finished the sporting director of the team Robert Krajewski. As early as in the first stage we were much unlucky. On that day the weather conditions were very difficult, it was quite cold and it rained heavily during the whole stage. We had as many as 8 defects on that day. The organizer did not provide a sufficient number of neutral cars, which among others made Tomasz Kiendyś withdraw from the race.
All the stages were held in similar weather conditions, and despite that the pace was very quick and there were many actions. In each stage there were breakaways, which at the end of the race were eliminated by the peloton, and the result of the race hung in the balance until the last stage.
We did not play an important role, and yet, admittedly, all the riders were riding in it very actively, and we missed a good place by a bit only.
I believe that for the riders taking part in Ronde de L’Oise it was a good training before the coming Championships of Poland – added Robert Krajewski.
