Six man squad for Race of “Solidarity” and the Olimpians

The six-men team will take part in Race of “Solidarity” and the Olympians, which starts on Wednesday (July 2nd)

The race, which history goes back to 1990, will take place from July 2nd to July 5th. It will consist of 5 stages. The peleton will start in Lodz and after four days will arrive to Jaroslaw. First three stages go through flat terrain in central Poland. It will be an opportunity for the sprinters to show off their speed. The last two stages are more hilly. Among many climbs there will be one that stands out – to Kamieniec. That will be the decisive time in terms of general classification. Riders will end up the 4-day competition with about 700 kilometers in their legs.

CCC Polsat Polkowice is one of the 19 teams that were invited to participate in the race. Among them there not only Polish teams, but also Italian, German, Belgian, Dutch, Ukrainian, Czech and Slovkian. All of them will bring 6 riders. The “Orange” squad will be represented by Adrian Honkisz, Bartlomiej Matysiak, Tomasz Marczynski, Jacek Morajko, Maciej Paterski i Grzegorz Stepniak.
