“Slovenian” lineup of CCC Sprandi Polkowice to Tour of Slovenia

CCC Sprandi Polkowice will take on Tour of Slovenia with big ambitions and two home riders in the lineup.

Jan Tratnik and Marko Kump will be racing on their home turf and there at least few stages that suit them. Kump will showcase his sprinting skills on first two flat stages, while Tratnik is going to go flat out in his specialty, the individual time trial, which will end the race.

For me Tour of Slovenia is a big goal this season. Every time I participate in this event, I notice how great race it is. This year we will not have a mountain top finish, but stage 4 and ITT will decide who will be crowned as the winner. For me, the main goal is to win the last time trial. I know that it will be difficult, but my condition is great and I’m confident. Mountain stages can also suit me, but I need to have very good day, because there are some big names on the start list. I will take on the race with the focus on ITT, but during the race I will see how the legs are spinning. My form is exactly where I need it to be and I can’t wait to start racing – Jan Tratnik says before the event.

Michal Schlegel is another man for the overall, as he performs very well in long and steep climbs, which are part of stages 3 and 4. The former finishes with a punchy hill in the end, which will be preceded by cat. 2 ascent, while the latter includes cat. 1 climb to Pavlicevo Sedlo, tackled from the Austrian side.

Leszek Pluciński, Michał Paluta, Frantisek Sisr and Adrian Kurek will play important role of supporting riders and will try to make their presence known in the breaks.

The orange squad will go against 9 World Tour teams and other quality teams, so the level of racing is expected to be very high.

The entire race will broadcast live on Eurosport 1, 2 and Eurosport Player.
