In the sprint duel at the finish of the third stage in Kielce, Konrad Dąbkowski from BDC Marcpol team, defeated Pawla Franczak (Wibatech) and Grzegorz Stepniak (CCC Polsat Polkowice).
The third stage of the race Solidarity and the Olympians led a relatively flat route from Jaworzna to Krakow and its length was 193 km. The only difficulty for cyclists was raining for most of the stage rain, relatively low temperatures and sometimes fluttering wind. As it turned out, they were not too difficult to drive, because right from the start in the peloton began to numerous attacks and attempts to departure. Cyclists have imposed very high rate of driving as decidedly not let anyone pull away from the pack.
This situation lasted until the 80 kilometer route when it decided to attack a group of seven riders. “Asleep” little peloton allowed the departure of the group in which they rode Pawel Cieslik (BGZ Team), Klemen Stimulak (Adria), Tomasz Mickiewicz (Wibatech), Marcin Sapa (BDC), Wojciech Skarżyński (Las Vegas), Damian Fornalski (Lasocki smelter ) and Dieter Bouvry (Etixx Inhed).
Refugees gained a slight advantage, which was up to 1.5 minutes, but the peloton controlled by ISD Continental Team leader, did not allow for further increase their lead.
When the finish line in Kielce remained about 25 kilometers, the peloton caught up with working hard refugees and began the first attempts to “drag” the sprinters in good position to finish.
Recent Finishing meters wide path led down the street on a slight downhill, allowing sprinters “spin” very high speed.
The fastest sprint cyclist team made a BDC Marcpol, Konrad Dąbkowski, beating Paul Franczak crew Wibatech and Grzegorz Stepniak (CCC Polsat Polkowice).
The leader of the race, remained the winner of the first stage – Ukrainian Vitaliy Popkov (ISD Continental).
