The cycling criterium in Taipei, 60 km long, ended the performance of the CCC Polsat Polkowice team in the seven-stage race Tour de Taiwan. The winner of the last stage was Zainal Rizuan Zainal (Malaysia National Team) and Jarosław Rebiewski was the 4th.The team of CCC Polsat Polkowice took part in Tour de Taiwan under the name of CCC Merida Team – a sponsor who provides it with the best class road cycling bikes. Piotr Wadecki’s racers were noticeable in almost all finishes of the stages, a few times among the leaders. Bartłomiej Matysiak and Tomasz Smoleń did especially well, the latter won the sixth stage of the race with the finish line in Taipei – the capital of Taiwan.
The Merida CCC Team did not achieve great successes in the general classification of the race. Jarosław Rębiewski with his 19th place was classified the highest. Slightly better were the results of the cyclists in the points classification of the race. Tomasz Smoleń was the third and Bartłomiej Matysiak was the fifth. The CCC Merida Team won the fifth position.
The winner of the race was the Irishman David Mc Cann (Asia Racing Team) before the American Philip Gaimon (Kenda) and the Australian Williamem Clarke (Genesys).
