The 18th place for Marczyński in the Bergamasca’s prologue.

The 6-kilometre long time trial with an uphill stretch at Colle Gallo started the race of Settimana Ciclistica Lombarda Bergamasca yesterday. The winner and the first leader of the race was the Italian Michele Scarponi from the team of Androni Diquigiovanni who covered the race of the time trial with a time of 14:55 and was 16 seconds faster from his compatriot Matteo Carrary from Vacansoleil. The best of Poles, Przemysław Niemiec lost 20 seconds to the winner, which gave him the third place

The highest classified cyclist from CCC Polsat Polkowice was Tomasz Marczyński, who completed the time trial at the 18 place, losing 55 seconds to the winner.

In the leading group there were several famous names, like: Riccardo Ricco (Ceramica Flaminia) on the fourth place, losing 21 seconds. Emanuele Sella (Carmiooro NGC) was the seventh with the loss of 36 seconds. The young Frenchmen Brice Feillu (Vacansoleil) was the 15th and he lost 49 seconds to the winner. Michał Gołaś (Vacansoleil) was the 34th. Jarosław Dąbrowski (Amore & Vita Conad) got the 61st place.
