On Saturday 13 August in Sucha Beskidzka the International Cycle Race ‘Memorial of Henryk Lasak’ (category: UCI 1.2) is going to be held for the 13th time. The results are part of the general classification of the cycling BGŻ ProLiga.
At the start of the race leading along the roads of Sucha Beskidzka the cyclists are going to ride the route of the total length of 183 kilometres. As every year the cyclists will ride five laps around Sucha, where they are going to face quite a difficult uphill stretch in Tarnawa Górna. The starting and finishing line is at the Main Market Square of the town.
The participation in the race has been announced by all Polish professional teams (CCC Polsat Polkowice, BGŻ Team, BDC Team, Legia) as well as cyclists from foreign teams from Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus, Holland and Latvia.
The CCC Polsat Polkowice team is going to race with the following composition: Marek Rutkiewicz, Jacek Morajko, Tomasz Marczyński, Łukasz Bodnar, Mateusz Taciak, Mariusz Witecki, Tomasz Kiendyś and Kamil Zieliński.
On the next day, 14 August (Sunday), the team with an increased composition will take part in the next one-day race – Puchar Uzdrowisk Karpackich. The race will start in Rymanów Zdrój, it will go through Iwonicz Zdrój and the finishing line has been located in Polańczyk on the Solina. The cyclists will have a distance of 165 km to ride.
The results of the race are also part of the classification of the cycling BGŻ ProLiga.
