The plan of the BGŻ ProLiga leader before the Memorial of A.Trochanowski.

The coming month is going to be very busy for Polish riders. In the calendar of BGŻ ProLiga there are as many as four events, including three stage races.

May will start with the Memorial of Trochanowski in Baboszewo, three days later the valued race of Szlakiem Grodów Piastowskich starts, and next riders will move to Kraków for the Małopolski Wyścig Górski, to finish the month with a start at the multi-stage race Bałtyk – Karkonosze.

During the whole April the jersey of the leader of BGŻ Proliga was worn by Marek Rutkiewicz (CCC Polsat Polkowice). Here is what this title-winning rider says about his plans and intentions several days before the next even belonging to the prestigious cycle:

„After winning the Hellena Tour race I rested for several days. In fact, I more like cured myself, because I had got a little cold in the long, rainy last stage. Since Thursday I have been doing hard, mountain trainings, which are more intended as preparations for Grody Piastowskie. I consider the Memorial of Trochanowski more at ease, because I realize it is a flat race, and as usual, the main role in Baboszewo will be played by sprint cyclists and riders specializing in flat classic races. I will start to help the team-mates who feel good at such races. I hope that the jersey of the BGŻ ProLiga will stay in our team after the ‘Trochan’.
