Patryk Stosz extended his lead in KOM competition and Frantisek Sisr sprinted to 4th in stage 2 of Tour de Hongrie.
Info: August 16th, Velence–Székesfehérvár, 190km
After showing strength on stage 1, CCC Sprandi Polkowice were not let go into the breakaway of the day, but they still made their presence known early on. Patryk Stosz won another KOM, extending his lead in King of the Mountains race, while Kamil Małecki, who sat 10th overall, took 2nd at intermediate sprint, gaining 2 seconds of bonification.
After that lively opening a 3-man break went away, establishing nearly 3-minute gap. They got reeled in with 18km to go.
In the finale „riders in orange” were very visible at the head of the bunch, as they were either setting strong pace or launching attacks. Adrian Kurek and Paweł Bernas tried few times, and the latter got a small gap in the final 1km. Sprinters caught the Pole though and it was Matteo Moschetti who took the win. Frantisek Sisr was in the mix, arriving across the line in 4th place.
