Tour de Suisse: Hirt 25th in overall standings

Jan Hirt completed UCI World Tour stage event, Tour de Suisse, in 25th place overall, while Simon Spilak secured the final win. Last stage, individual time trial, went to Rohan Dennis (BMC Racing).

How it unfolded

Adrian Kurek was one of the early starters and after crossing the line, his result 39:28 was 4th on the scoreboard. At the end of the day he took 52nd, 2:58 behind Rohan Dennis (BMC Racing), who smashed the opposition, posting 36:30. BMC Racing dominated the time trial, taking the entire podium – Stefan Kung was 2nd and Damiano Caruso 3rd.

The highest placed CCC Sprandi Polkowice rider in GC, Jan Hirt was 7:09 off the pace, claiming 25th place in the final general classification. Simon Spilak set 5th best time, sealing the overall victory. The podium was rounded out by Damiano Caruso and Steven Kruisjvijk (Team LottoNL-Jumbo).
