Adrian Kurek was 35th fastest man of the 6-kilometer prologue, which opened up Tour de Suisse.

How it unfolded
It was around 7 minutes of suffering, as the prologue was fast and very intense. Riders were recording average speed of over 50km/h and the fastest of them all was Rohan Dennis (BMC Racing Team). He set 6:24 (56,25km/h), besting Adrian Kurek’s time by 25 seconds. CCC Sprandi Polkowice rider, with track cycling background, was the highest ranked “rider in orange” in the prologue, taking 35th.
Dennis’s teammate Stefan Kung and Matthias Brandle (Trek-Segafredo) rounded out the podium. The leader of Polkowice-based squad, Jan Hirt clocked 7:18, 54 seconds off the pace.
The peloton is staying in Cham, as tomorrow another stage will be held here. It will consists of four, 43-kilometer, undulating laps.
