Royal, 4 stage of the Tour Méditerranéen to finish at the top of Mont Faron, won the Jean-Christophe Peraud from AG2R La Mondiale team. At the eighth, high place Davide Rebellin from CCC Polsat Polkowice crossed the finish line .

After a day break due to the cancellation 3rd stage, riders began to compete on the toughest stretch of this year’s race with Rousset to Toulon (Mont Faron). Cyclists have to beat route of 145 km run on top of Mont Faron. Last stage is 5.5 km kilometer climb to the top where finisth line was located. Average slope of the uphill was 9%.

Course of the competition at this stage of the royal race reports for us the sports director CCC Polsat Polkowice, Robert Krajewski.4th stage started with three cyclists who escape from peloton later five cyclists reached the first three cyclists. Their maximum advantage was about three and a half minutes. In general, the stage was controlled by cyclists from Blanco, who had their leader in the peloton. The first strong attack have already gone into the mountain premium category II, which were situated on top of that is the penultimate kilometer to 132. At last the final climb of Mont Faron peloton rode very stretched, and after a few hundred meters a lot of cylists left behind.Assumptions on the stage were simple. The whole team had to work on our leader, Davide Rebellin who began the final climb of Mont Faron as close to the front. David, with the considerable help of all the team cyclists, finished the stage on a high 8th place. If not the loss suffered by the individual time he would be in the top ten of the race.Tomorrow is the last, the longest, 192 km long stage race with the finish line in Grasse – Robert Krajewski added. At this stage, approximately 40 km from the finish, will start a long, 10 kilometer long uphill which can lead to many attacks. I think a lot can still happen. The team we thinned a little. Before the 4th stage (did not sign the start list) Mateusz Taciak had to withdraw who a night before had a temperature and flu symptoms. We decided that Mateusz will not start. But he was not the only cyclist who complained of feeling unwell. On the way stage of the fight had to withdraw Nikolay Mihaylov who got serious stomach problems. Before the stage Łukasz Owsian felt bad, but he started and with big problems on the route finished the stage – finished Robert Krajewski. Maxime Monfort’s (RadioShack – Leopard) is the race leader, who is about 1 second ahead of Lars Booma.Davide Rebellin moved up to 22nd place with a loss 1 min. 55 sec. to the leader in general classification.
