Jonas Koch sprinted to 13th place in stage 3 of Tour of Norway, which again ended with a bunch gallop and was taken by Dylan Groenewegen (Team LottoNL-Jumbo).
Info: May 17th, Moss – Sarpsborg, 175km
Escapees were very close to outpacing the peloton on that stage, as the 4-man leading group (with no “riders in orange”), which broke away soon after the start, was brought back in inside the final 1km. Sprinters’ teams did their calculations exactly right and again it was all decided in the battle of the fastest.
Dylan Groenewegen (Team LottoNL-Jumbo) proved that he has the most power in the legs, as he got his second stage victory. In the decisive duel he bested Edvald Boasson Hagen (Dimension Data) and Sondre Holst Enger (Israel Cycling Academy). Jonas Koch finished in 13th place and now sits in 26th overall, 24 seconds behind GC leader, Groenewegen.
