Jonas Koch finished the last stage of Tour of Norway in 15th, securing 8th place overall.
Info: May 18th, Moelv – Lillehammer, 154km
CCC Sprandi Polkowice were very aggressive throughout the entire, hilly stage. Especially Paweł Bernas’s ride stood out, as he was part of two separate breakaways. None of them was able to gain more than 1 minute on the bunch though.
The field would split and then come back together few times, but with every kilometer the bunch was getting smaller and smaller. Jonas Koch was able to make the cut and at one point he was part of a 10-man leading group. Eventually he finished among the chasers, who arrived 26 seconds behind the winner, Alexander Kamp (Team Virtu Cycling). He was the strongest from the 3-man breakaway which went clear on the final climb of the day and held on all the way.
Eduardo Prades (Euskadi – Murias) who got 2nd at the line won the overall. Koch took an impressive 8th place, 35 seconds back.
